Nouveau standard ANSI/BIFMA X5.9-2004

Comme vous le savez sûrement, BIFMA a développé depuis quelques temps un nouveau standard pour les essais sur les unités de rangements. Le nouveau standard « Storage Units X5.9-2004 » a été approuvé par ANSI le 17 novembre 2004. Ce standard s’inspire très principalement des standards BIFMA X5.5-1998 et BIFMA X5.2-1997. Quelques-uns des tests sont entièrement nouveaux. De plus, le standard BIFMA X5.9 remplace par l’ancien BIFMA X5.2, et couvre les filières latérales.

Le nouveau standard BIFMA X5.9 offre entre l’avantage de limiter la quantité de charge qui doit être mise dans l’unité pour rencontrer les limites du standard. Certains nouveaux tests de stabilité ont été ajoutés, notamment pour les unités comme les bibliothèques.

Veuillez trouver ci-joint une comparaison test par test entre le nouveau standard et les standards X5.2-1997 et X5.5-1998. Cette comparaison a été faite en anglais afin d’éviter les traductions qui pourraient rendre le travail avec les standards moins aisé.
