Capabilities

Micom Laboratories offers routine and non-routine material testing services for a wide range of materials and products.  The essence of what we do is to simulate real life, in the lab, under controlled yet accelerated conditions.  To do so, we have all sorts of equipment that can simulate the sun, vibrations, impacts, loads, heat, cold, fatigue and many other tests. This can be done for different products and materials.

More specifically, we are a third party lab, which means all we do is testing.  We do not sell goods, products or equipment. We carry various accreditations from many different organizations and bodies including Transport Canada, SCC, CGSB, ISTA.  Micom has been in business since 1999 and is conveniently located in Montreal, right next to the airport.

Micom offers a wide variety of mechanical and physico-chemical material testing according to various standards (ASTM, BIFMA, CGSB, ISTA, ISO, MIL-STD, ANSI, CSA, Bombardier & others).  Our specialists can also provide you with custom material testing services focused on your specific needs.

Our facilities are also equipped to test prototypes, simulate intensive use of products and materials either to validate your design or investigate a field failure.  Our quality control system complies with ISO 17025.
