BIFMA X6.1

Lancée en avril 2018 pour remplacer la version originale, ANSI/BIFMA X6.1 Educational Seating est la norme la plus récente sur les essais de sièges dans des établissements d’enseignement (de préscolaire à l’université). Cependant, cette norme ne couvre pas les chaises de bureau (BIFMA X5.1 ou BIFMA X5.11) ni les sièges utilisés dans les espaces publics à haute utilisation (BIFMA X5.4). Micom offre les essais BIFMA X6.1 dans le cadre de ses essais sur meubles de bureau. Par ailleurs, cette norme comprend 3 catégories d’utilisateurs, soit :

BIFMA X6.1 a 20 essais et couvre trois types de sièges:

  • Angle de siège fixe, chaise à dossier fixe (« Fixed Seat Angle, Fixed Backrest Chair »)
  • Chaise de bureau (« Chair Desk »)
  • Table de banc convertible (« Convertible Bench Table »)

Tous les essais ne doivent pas être effectués sur tous les types de sièges. Le tableau ci-dessous indique quels essais doivent être effectués sur quel type de sièges tant que la fonctionnalité testée soit disponible et que l’essai soit possible:
